About Engineering Calc Pro

Built by engineers, for engineers.

Our Mission

Engineering Calc Pro exists to give practicing engineers, students, and technicians instant access to accurate, reliable engineering calculators – no subscriptions, no sign-ups, no paywalls. Every tool on this site solves real problems that engineers encounter every day.

We cover hydraulic and fluid power systems, electrical engineering, structural analysis, and mechanical design. Each calculator is built around established engineering formulas and standards, including Darcy-Weisbach for fluid flow, NEC guidelines for electrical calculations, and classical beam theory for structural analysis.

Why We Built This

Too many engineering tools are either buried behind expensive software licenses, cluttered with ads, or simply inaccurate. We wanted a clean, fast, mobile-friendly set of calculators that engineers could bookmark and use on the job – whether they’re in an office, a plant floor, or out in the field on a phone.

Every calculator on this site supports both Imperial (US) and SI (metric) units, because engineers work in both systems and unit-conversion errors have caused real-world failures. We take accuracy seriously.

What We Cover

  • Hydraulic & Fluid Power – Pipe pressure drop, hydraulic cylinder force and speed, pump power, Reynolds number, accumulator sizing
  • Electrical Engineering – Voltage drop, wire sizing (NEC), motor horsepower and torque conversions
  • Structural & Mechanical – Beam deflection, stress analysis, load calculations
  • Reference Articles – In-depth guides on hydraulic components, system design, and product selection

Accuracy & Methodology

All formulas are sourced from recognized engineering standards and handbooks: ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC (NFPA 70), Shigley’s Mechanical Engineering Design, and Fluid Mechanics by Munson et al. If you find a calculation that doesn’t match your expected result, please contact us – we want to know.

Engineering Calc Pro is continuously updated with new tools and articles. Bookmark the calculators index to stay current.
